How to apply online, step by step

The 605 Lending application starts online and finishes with a short phone call. Having your details ready before you begin means you can usually complete everything in one sitting.

1. Start the online application

Create an account and enter your name, address, date of birth, and Social Security number. You can choose English or Spanish, and you will be asked for both a landline and a cell number, plus the best time to reach you.

2. Add income and banking details

Enter your employer, how often you are paid, and your take-home pay. Then add the routing and account number of your checking account. The account must be the one your income is deposited into.

3. Complete the verification call

After you submit, you can call in or wait for a customer service representative to contact you. The representative confirms your identity and, in most cases, sets up a short bank call to verify your income and account number.

4. Review and e-sign your loan agreement

If approved, you will see the loan amount, APR, payment schedule, and total cost. Read the arbitration and governing-law sections carefully before you sign, because 605 Lending loans are governed by tribal law.

5. Receive your funds

Approved funds go straight to your checking account. 605 Lending says money can arrive as early as the same day for applications completed early in the day.

605 Lending requirements checklist

605 Lending focuses on income rather than credit history. These are the basic requirements to qualify:

  • A valid driver's license or state-issued ID
  • A consistent source of income
  • An active checking account that receives your income (prepaid cards are not funded)
  • A working phone number and email address
  • Residence in a state where 605 Lending makes loans

There is no minimum credit score. Because the lender does not report to the credit bureaus, the loan will not show up on your credit report either way.

Approval time and funding speed

Most of the wait happens between submitting the form and the verification call. Calling in yourself during business hours, Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time, is the fastest way to move forward.

StageTypical timing
Online application5 to 10 minutes
Verification callSame business day, depending on when you apply
DecisionUsually during the verification call
FundingSame day for early applications, otherwise the next business day

Timing depends on your bank, the time of day, and weekends or holidays.

Applications completed late in the day, on weekends, or on bank holidays usually fund on the next business day.

Why 605 Lending applications get denied

A denial usually comes down to one of a few issues that can often be fixed before you reapply:

  • Your state is on the list of states 605 Lending does not fund
  • Income could not be verified, or it goes to a different account than the one you entered
  • You entered a prepaid card instead of a checking account
  • Income is too low to cover the scheduled payments
  • Identity details did not match your ID

If you are denied, you can still request $200 to $5,000 through our application, where other lenders set their own requirements. See our state list and the cheaper alternatives before you try again.
